FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Every wedding is unique and to be honest, I’m usually far too focused on capturing the moments as they happen to keep an exact count! So it’s hard to say how many images to expect, but I would say roughly 50-100 per hour.
Absolutely! When you work with me, help is always on hand. I know that getting married in Albury-Wodonga (or anywhere else!) can be stressful, so all my couples receive a planning guide to assist with the whole process. This guide includes a lot of tips to get the absolute most out of your wedding photography. I’ve captured hundreds of ceremonies over the years and am always happy to share what I’ve learned along the way; feel free to reach out at any time!
Absolutely! I may be a Rutherglen Winery wedding photographer at heart, but I’ve spent my life traveling around Australia; the travel bug is something I just can’t seem to shake and I would love to shoot your wedding, wherever it may be! I consider Townsville my second home, so if you’re planning your wedding anywhere in north Queensland, you won’t have to tell me twice; I’m booking that plane ticket.
Heck yes! We can catch up for a chai or lemonade if you want a face-to-face before booking. If catching up in person isn’t practical, I’m always up for a hearty chat over the phone or on Skype/Zoom. It’s important to me that I’m a good fit for your wedding vision; if I feel I’m not, don’t worry - I’ll be the first to tell you!
Some dates can book out a good year in advance; I’ve even had times when two couples have both been after the same date within a matter of days. To be fair to everyone, my policy is to only reserve a date when I receive a deposit. That being said, I do encourage you to take your time deciding on your own personal A-team of wedding vendors!
Yes! I know weddings can be a big financial burden. You’re more than welcome to pay for your package through as many or as few payments as you like. All I ask is that all final payments are received in time for the big day. Reach out and we can discuss!
When you’re ready to go, I ask for a $500 deposit to reserve your date. I’ll also send over a contract that covers all the important (and sometimes boring) bits and pieces; once you’ve signed this, we are committed to each other and you can start getting seriously excited about your big day!
So...this is the most frequent of my frequently asked questions! I’ve yet to come across a couple that tell me how much they adore being in front of the camera - or at least if they do, they won’t admit it :)
Don’t worry. My job is to make sure that you don’t feel awkward in front of my camera. I promise I’ll do everything in my power to make you feel comfortable. My style is natural, authentic photography; I don’t go in for anything cheesy or unnatural. Time and time again I’ve had couples tell me they were surprised by the amount of sheer fun they had!
Often I don’t, as I like to work as candidly as possible for most of the day. I also take it on myself to create the perfect atmosphere, as well as capturing awesome images. In my opinion, having too many cameras around can detract from this.
That being said, if you’re planning a large wedding, or the bride and groom are getting ready in two far-flung locations, then a second shooter could be a great (and necessary) addition. I’m more than happy to discuss adding this to your package; just let me know!
