You might cringe at the idea of creating a ‘plan’ for your wild wedding celebrations or on the other hand you may be the spreadsheet King/Queen. Regardless, having a wedding day timeline is so important if you want a seem-less day that allows you more time to party, the kind of party where you loose track of time, because you’ve put the work into creating a timeline that allows time for what’s important to you and even better its in the safe hands of your vendors so they can take care of everything on the day.

Below are examples of a typical (kinda traditional) wedding day. If your after something a bit Dif 🙌 I highly recommend checking out the following blogs,

A typical (kinda traditional) 8-9 hour wedding day photography timeline

This ones for the couples that what to stick to the most tradition timeline,

12pm – Partner one getting ready photos – if your party are all wearing suits and no one is getting hair and makeup done, I recommend being showered and semi ready with shirts and pant on, especially if you have a big wedding party. This leaves more time for your photographer to capture you all looking your best, having a drink instead both them standing around while you all shower 😅

1:15pm – Partner two getting ready photos – as a general rule I like to take on 15 minutes for the second partner, just incase things are running late, trust me it makes a world of difference if things are.

2:30pm – Photographer/Videographer head to ceremony – Allow time for travel, I’m going to 15 mins for this as an example.

2:45pm – Guest arrive at ceremony location – Hot tip, note your ceremony time on your invites as 15 minutes earlier then you intend to start this will avoid any late comers.
