Audrey & Ryan became fast friends after starting at the same workplace in 2016. After many nights out, drinks, dinners and fun they went to the Mona art festival Dark Mofo (goth schoolies) in Tasmania with a group of friends. After that, they were pretty inseparable and went on a secret holiday to Japan before telling everyone at work/our friends.
Ryan organised a surprise proposal on the Posh Pit ferry to Mona in Tasmania (the same place where they first got together). The captain spoke over the loudspeaker and said there was a very important announcement. Ryan then proposed and was so emotional, he forgot how to get on one knee and just squatted instead. Audrey was incredibly surprised (in a good way) and had no idea this was happening. All of their friends and siblings were there and they all cried and screamed. A massive party followed to celebrate.
Audrey & Ryan chose to have their wedding at the Corowa Whisky Factory, a converted flour mill just over 2 hours away from their home town of Melbourne. They described their theme as Eccentric, while nodding to the classic format. what they were most looking forward to was seeing all of our friends and family having a good time – it had been a long time coming!
